This was my third time capturing Lexie & Ben’s love story – this time, as an engaged couple. Having photographed them in their first apartment together in San Francisco as well as helped Ben with the perfect surprise proposal plan, I was beyond excited to photograph their engagement session. We chose two of my personal favorite locations in Marin, Kirby Cove and Mt Tamalpais. We started at Kirby Cove, which we were lucky enough to basically have the place to ourselves! We ran around in the waves and on the rocky beach until it was time to head to our next location for sunset. When we got to Mt Tam, it felt otherworldly. Above the clouds, we had a view the ocean & city below. We shot until the light was gone, never wanting the night to end. I can’t wait to photograph Lexie & Ben’s wedding day in San Diego this spring — it’s always an honor to be asked to document all the seasons of a couple’s lives together.
