Kristin & Bartek’s engagement session was the perfect mix of lifestyle / editorial. Kristin is a graphic designer by trade and has an incredible eye — so it’s no surprise that their outfits were on point! These two met at a Halloween party in college and the rest is history. From Chicago to San Francisco, their relationship has been a constant as they’ve navigated life changes along the way.

This is one of my favorite galleries I’ve delivered recently — and I think it’s because Kristin and Bartek fully allowed me in. They opened up, and because of that, we were able to create these together. I’ve learned that documenting love is a culmination of not only my direction, but a couple’s willingness to be vulnerable with me and trust the process. I’m so grateful to these two for doing just that, and I cannot wait to travel to Iowa (Kristin’s home state) for their wedding next year!
